Johannes Koll

Johannes Koll is Senior Scientist and head of the historical archives of Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria). Previously, he has been working as postdoctoral research assistant at the Universities of Cologne and Münster (Germany) and as visiting professor at the University of Vienna (Austria). Among other scholarly institutions in Europe, the Nether­lands Insti­tute for Advanced Study in the Huma­nities and Social Sciences (NIAS) has granted a fellowship to him. Starting with his Ph.D. thesis on the origins of national identity in the Habsburg Netherlands, he has concentrated on Belgian history in modern times.
