Nathalie TOUSIGNANT (USL-B)

Nathalie Tousignant is Doctor of history at the Université Laval (Québec, 1995) and  professor of contemporary history at the Université Saint-Louis, where she is also connected to the Institute for European Studies. One of her research areas is the analysis of the methods of construction and expression of the European identity through the institutional discourses. Another area is postcolonial studies where she principally analyses  the relations between Belgium and its former colony, the Democratic Republic of Congo. She is also a member of the Institute for European Studies of the UCL and in charge of the aspect «  colonial history » within the PAI VII-Justice&Population (BeJust 2.0).
