The fourth issue of 2013 (in English) is now available

The fourth issue of each annual volume contains exclusively English content. We aim to create higher visibility of Belgian modern and contemporary history. This English language issue contains four articles (the Belgian assimilation of the Eastern cantons (1919-1940), the use of 'minority rhetoric' by Francophones in Flanders (1918-1932), the emigration of the renowed Ghent inventor-industrialist Leo Baekeland to the US and finally the social mobilizaion in Belgium against the Brezilian dictatorship during the 1970s. This issue also contains several sections, including reflective essays on transnational history, theoretical history and ecological history.
