This issue contains four articles. Juliette Masquelier (University of Antwerp and Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Margaux Roberti Lintermans (Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve) examine the role of Christian and Socialist women’s movements in the reforms of childcare services in Francophone Belgium around the 1970s. Stef de Baedts writes about the evolution of the ideological worldview of Flemish Eastern Front volunteers during the Second World War. Matthew G. Stanard (professor at Berry College in Mt. Berry, Georgia) publishes an article on the film Bwana Kitoko ('Handsome Lord') by André Cauvin, an influential yet today somewhat forgotten film. Vincent Mazy (Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve) is the author of an article on the Saint-Léonard prison in Liège, a German-run prison during the First World War. Antoon Vrints and Bart Willems contribute two debate pieces on the history of the Resistance during the Second World War.
